Save money on your window cleaning bill

If you are like most people then you can’t stand cleaning windows. You don’t want to know how to do it; you just want someone else to full stop. Here are some tips on how to have a professional window cleaner, clean your windows at a fraction of the cost.

Most of my customers have a general house cleaner. If they want to save money on their window cleaning bill, I always suggest they pay their cleaner to clean the frames, tracks, and fly screens. A house cleaner generally charges between $20 and $30 per hour where as window cleaners charges from $40 – $60 per hour. Pay the window cleaner to clean the windows and give you that nice streak free finish. Pay your house cleaner for everything else. If you don’t have a house cleaner, you could clean the tracks, screens, and frames yourself.

Most window cleaners say ‘oh I don’t charge for tracks and screens, I do those for free’, what they are really saying is, ‘I’m going to charge you the full amount whether you have the extras done or not’. Its business, if it takes an extra half an hour then the price will reflect that. Find a window cleaner that will break the cost down for you.

Hiring window cleaners with referral programs are great because you can have your windows cleaned for a reduced price or even free. Only refer good window cleaners, who you have used and know they offer a great service though, don’t just do it for the saving.

Another way to save on your window cleaning bill is to only have the whole house done every second time. I suggest you get all of the exterior windows cleaned and the inside of some of the main sliding doors and feature windows every time.
